Source: KIEC Student (DAH61ANI)

Introducing myself, I am Applicant Name, son of parent name, born on 27th April, XXXX. I am a permanent resident of Pokhara, Kaski, Nepal. I am a young and motivated boy who wants to achieve a lot in my life. I have completed my School Leaving Certificate (SLC) from Karunanidhi Education Foundation Higher Secondary School securing XX% in the year 2XXX AD (2XXX BS). Then, I continued in the same school in Management faculty for my Higher Secondary Level (Popularly regarded as 10+2 in Nepal) and passed in first division with XX% in aggregate in the year 2XXX AD (2XXX BS). Then, I spent few months to improve my English and attended the IELTS examination on 11th November, 2XXX and secured an overall band score of 7 (Listening 7.5, Reading 7, Writing 6.5 and Speaking 6.5).

I nearly had a gap of 3/4 months after my higher education. As I had planned to go abroad for my further study, I joined an IELTS class in that gap period. So, there is no huge gap in my education.

After much more research and discussion, I came to know Australia as one of the best destinations for any international student. Australia is an English Speaking Country with friendly people and society where the student can explore themselves to learn new things. The education system of Australia is one of the top rankings all over the world as all the universities and colleges are recognized and certified by the government which makes international students confident about their safe future and education. Although other countries like the USA and UK are ranked well for abroad study, factors like crime rates and the cost of living are too high in those countries. There are many reasons for choosing Australia for my higher study. Tuition fees are considerably lower in Australia as compared to other countries like the UK, the USA and other European countries. Australia is a country with a diverse culture, favorable climate and naturally beautiful cities, as well as the peoples out there, are very friendly and supportive. The Australian lifestyle is considered as one of the best in the world with most livable cities. The living standard in Australia is highest compared to other destinations while the living expenses are comparatively lower. Furthermore, Australia is at top of new technology and innovation and I would be able to take advantage of the country’s technology and research resources increasing my ability and are able to apply in the Nepalese environment once I return back.

Australia is the country that follows ESOS (Education Services for Overseas Students) Act 2000 which ensures that students have access to tuition assurance. The ESOS framework has elements like Tuition Protection Services (TPS) where the fees of international students get secured giving students peace of mind so that they can focus on their study. Moreover, the PSW (Post Study Work) provided to students for 2 years after graduation is a great opportunity for them to gain experience in a related field. That’s why I have chosen Australia as an education destination as I think it will help me light a bright path to a better future.

My course is Bachelor of Accounting and its duration is 3 years. This is nationally recognized (CRICOS 069531C). Bachelor of Accounting has a total of 24 units These Units are divided into three levels based on contents and level of difficulty. The first level (Level 1000) has 8 core units. The second level (2000) has 6 core units. The third level (Level 3000) has 7 core units. In addition, I will get to select 3. An overall fee of this course is 16,000 AUD (including scholarship amount). This course provides students with an in-depth understanding of accountancy practices and an appreciation of other business-related disciplines. Some of its subjects include Professional Communication Skills, Contemporary Issues in Accounting, Law of Business Organizations, Tax Law, Corporate Accounting and Reporting.

Based on my interest and past academic background, I have chosen a Bachelor of Accounting for my undergraduate degree. As I have completed my higher secondary level (+2) in management faculty with math and accountancy as a major subject, I love to pursue my further study in accounting as a subject of my interest.

Accounting has been growing over the year as a discipline which is inseparable from any kind of business organization. So, accounting is considered a doorway to every kind of business field. I can obtain an Accounting degree from Australia which can help me to secure my future after returning to Nepal. I can utilize that knowledge here in Nepal for the betterment of the accounting sector of my country. It can help me to pursue a career in the finance and accounting sectors or even to become an entrepreneur. The students who have accounting as a major has professional recognition from ICA Australia. I believe that after getting recognition from Australia, I can easily get certified by ICAN Nepal too. Graduates of the bachelor of business with major in accounting will have knowledge and ability to work as specialist business professionals. After successful completion of a Bachelor degree in Accounting, I can get golden opportunities to choose various career options such as:

Accountant
Business Analyst
Auditor
Financial Advisor
Taxation Consultant and so on.
After making the decision of studying Bachelor of Accounting in Australia, I had to search for the university/College which is popular for accounting study and also has a good reputation among international students. After a lot of research and internet surfing, I shortlisted a few providers for my further study which were University name, University name, University name, University name, University name and University name. Among these, I made a choice of University name because I did research on all these institutions regarding the tuition fees, a total number of subjects in the course and the duration of the course where I found University name best for me.

University name located in central Sydney, Australia and offering high quality accredited degree, diploma and certificate courses in Accounting and Business. It satisfies the educational membership requirements for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), CPA Australia (CPA) and The Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Year after year, University name has been building up its prestige among the international students. With best infrastructures and world-class facilities, University name for me, stood tall and unique from the crowd of other Australian universities/colleges. Compared to other universities/colleges like University name, University name, University name or University name, University name appealed to me more due to several factors. University name truly believes in giving the best study environment for students. During my research for a suitable education provider, I used the aid of YouTube as well as several online materials, where I got to know more about University name. Hearing from many international students about their experience in University name from their perspective, it excited me further to be a part of the University name family. Besides, fees of University name are affordable compared to other universities and colleges like University name, University name and University name and so on. It also offers the scholarship to the deserving student like me (20 %). University name being internationally recognized education provider, it supports students to achieve their goal in a very friendly and supportive environment. If I can get a Quality education of my choice in affordable fees then why to study in other universities/Colleges. So, after evaluating all these factors I finally choose the University name for my further study.

Before applying for a student visa in Australia, I had done a lot of research about the colleges and universities in Nepal which provides a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business. Also, I had personally visited some of the colleges (Prithivi Narayan Campus, Pokhara college of Management, Janapriya Multiple Campus, La grandee international college and so on) to know about the facilities and way of teaching, where I found most of the colleges provides theoretical based knowledge rather than practical. Apart from this, Due to lack of well-managed infrastructure, students cannot achieve sufficient knowledge which they required for their better understanding of subject matter. Another considerable factor is duration, the bachelor’s degree in Nepal is of 4 years whereas Australia offers 3 years of Bachelor’s courses which are internationally recognized. The education system of Australia is far better than Nepal as it is ranked top across the world in terms of education where students are provided with more technological resources and a peaceful environment to study. Due to these mentioned reasons, I have chosen Australia to continue my further higher studies rather than Nepal.

As concerned with financial expenses for abroad study, my family is going to fund my whole costs. My family is financially sound and they can afford my study and living expenses. My father works as a Marketing Manager in a private company, my mother works as a Cashier in a Co-operative Bank and my uncle & aunt are running a business related to electronic appliances.

After the successful completion of my degree, I shall do PSW (Post Study Work) so that I can gain international experience in a related field which can be fruitful for my career as it provides an opportunity to increase the level of confidence and professionalism in me. Once I had done PSW, I will return back to return my motherland with the recognized degree of accounting from Australia which can provide me a great opportunity in Nepal to work in the field of management, accounting, investment, international business and so on. I can join in various companies and financial organizations (NCELL, Nepal Telecom, Chaudhary Group, Nabil bank, Nepal SBI bank, Nepal investment bank) as an accountant and manager. I can be rewarded with the Initial Salary of NPR 50,000 to NPR 60,000 per month. As Nepal is a developing country with a growing business sector, it needs a lot of accounting professionals. Besides, I can also diversify my future career in working as a Chief Financial Officer in various other accounting-related fields of national and multinational business organizations. With the developing experience and network with industrialist & entrepreneur, I will gradually work to start up my own business in the near future and give full effort in the field of business which may contribute towards the development of the economy of my country. I have my loving and supportive family here in Nepal so, I will surely return back as soon as I complete my course because I have got a responsibility to support and take care of them. The only motive of me studying abroad is to gain sufficient knowledge and experiences so that I can use them here in Nepal.
