“DIPLOMA + BACHELOR OF INTERACTIVE MEDIA”
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (NIS01THA)
Myself Applicant Name, 19 years old Nepalese citizen , permanent resident of Applicant Address, living with eleven members of my family. I enrolled my School Leaving Certificate (SLC) in First Division from a reputed school named School Name in the year Year. After that I joined College Name to complete my higher secondary education (+2) and succeeded to achieve first division in the faculty of science. I decided to get my bachelor degree from Australia so I prepared for my IELTS examination and gave it on the Date and scored band X.X.
Since we are the local dweller of this Applicant Address, my grandfather is landlord, Father is Mayor of respective municipality, Two out of three uncles are teachers in well known schools of Gorkha and one use to do breeding and care for farm animals for economic, cultural and religious reasons, known as animal husbandry. Land is one of the major sources of income from the agriculture product, food product. In addition, my elder brother works as tourist guide in a reputed travel agency called Company Name, so that we are financial sound well established middle class family.
Why do I want to study in Australia?
Australia is a vibrant country with high quality education, laidback nature. University and employers all over the world recognize degrees from Australian university/college due to the impressive international reputation of the Australian education system. On the other hand studying in Nepal; the local degree will not be sufficient to develop networking in large number of countries. Education system in Nepal concerned only theoretical old courses with less professional lecturers where as Australian education system gives priority to practical education adopting new technology available at global market. I will be afforded with job opportunity all over the world after studying from Australia which is not possible if I choose my own country. Australia is a multicultural country with 22,000 courses and 1,100 institutions. The Education Service for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 is an Australian Government act that controls the delivery of international education in Australia. Furthermore, Tuition Protection Service (TPS) is an initiative of the Australian Government to assist international students and also TPS ensure to complete their studies in another course or receive a refund of their unspent tuition fees. Australia has been a world leader in protecting the tuition fee of international students studying in Australia on a student visa. Australia provides Post-study Work (PSW) visa for international students who complete university degree in Australia to gain practical work experience in Australia. There are also numerous universities in USA, UK that offers the bachelor’s program in interactive media but the living environment is no safe and Canada’s climatic conditions are not much favorable from the south Asian countries. Whereas Australia has the similar climatic condition to Nepal. In Australia international students can feel safe during their study time because of government’s regular monitor and protection in the education system. Living expenses and tuition costs are considerably lower in Australia than they are in the United States and United Kingdom.
Why do I want to study in Institute Name?
Many Australian universities and colleges are offering the program of bachelor of interactive media. I was in dilemma to choose this or that. After a research, I finally selected Institute Name for some valuable reasons. Firstly, it is one highly reputed college with long history of practical and industry based teaching. Institute Name provides quality, affordable education to us. Moreover, it has quite affordable fee structure compared to other Australian universities for Bachelor of interactive media. The tuition fee of Institute Name is AUD: 19000 only per year whereas other universities fee structure are around AUD: 24,000, 25,000, 26,000 and so on. I also found that international student support system is excellent in this institute. Professor and lecturers are very friendly and they always support international student with extra care. In other universities and colleges due to large number of students we cannot feel secure during our study time because professors and international team cannot provide sufficient time for the international students. But in Institute Name they are providing strong support and care for the international students and have strong student welfare services and counseling services so that we can feel homely environment. The campus, located in the central business district of Australia’s largest city, was established to deliver high quality degree programs to domestic and international students. It is at the hub of transport and world class amenities with restaurants and facilities to suit every budget and taste.
Career Outcomes and Future Plans
I have completed my Higher Secondary education (+2) in science and many courses are similar to my proposed program. My chosen program interactive media will provides specialized formal knowledge, capabilities and competencies in different field of different sector. This program is design for students looking for a change in career, and opens the way to many vocational choices in area of interaction design, new media, interactivity, human computer interaction, cyber culture, digital culture, interactive design, and includes augmented reality. I want to establish myself in the field of interactive media because to learn and enhance my skills bringing advancement in respective area likes improvements in graphics designing, gaming, video animation etc. After completion of this program, a wide range of jobs are available in the technology and engineering behind interactive media, computer games and cutting-edge online media. I have also a long term vision of making a game providing a place of Nepal as city of Miami in vice city. I believed that after the graduation in this program I can support in developing use of interactive media in my own country in specific area. One can easily get job in this field in the context of Nepal because there are fewer experts in this field.
After accomplishing of my intended course in the university, I will apply for PSW visa by which I can get the International experience in related field which will add plus point in my resume. I am pretty much sure that I will have adequate knowledge something unique than the graduates of the home country. I will be returning back to my home country to begin my professional career utilizing academic and work related experience. The people who are meticulous about interactive media are less likely to be found, so I am hoping to be added in that list. I will be seeking a job in various game video and animation making organizations such as Maya animation, Animation professionals in Nepal, Animax animation academy. I will be able to have better salary NPR: 60,000 to NPR: 80,000 per month for the first couple of years depending upon the nature of organization. I hope to develop the language skills, leadership, cultural and professional expertise that will make me an effective and successful person.
Australian student VISA subclass 500
I have a vision that my career can be fulfilled only by my hard labor and guidance of Institute Name, Location. I am seeking a temporary stay in Australia for gaining education until the completion of intended studies. I am very well known to the laws, rules and regulation, requirements of prevailing Australian laws and I will like to assure you that I do have good knowledge about visa obligation of visa subclass 500. They are
- I must study with full time load
- I must attend more than 80% academic attendance
- I must have and maintain Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC) for the study period.
- I must notify to college/DIBP within 7 days if I change the address/contact details
- I must score minimum 50% in every exam to pass.
