How to Get a UK Student Visa

How to Get a UK Student Visa

UK visa requirements and general immigration criteria are managed by UK Visas and Immigration, which has an easy-to-navigate site to help you determine whether you need a UK student visa.

Types of UK student visa

If you’re studying a short course and are over 18 years old, you may be eligible for a short-term study visa. This is valid for up to six months for most short courses and can be extended for a stay of up to 11 months for English language courses.

If you’re studying a longer course, you’ll need to make sure your chosen institution holds a Tier 4 Sponsor License. You can either apply for a Tier 4 (Child) student visa (if you’re aged 4-17 and want to study at an independent school in the UK) or a Tier 4 (General) student visa for those aged 18 and over.

UK student visa requirements

Your course provider may be willing to help you to apply for a UK student visa once you have been offered a place on a course; ask to find out if this is the case. You can apply for the visa up to six months in advance of the start date of your course. Check the average visa processing times for your country, and be sure to allow plenty of time.

UK student visas are awarded on a points-based system. In order to meet all the UK student visa requirements, you’ll need to provide:

  • Details of your passport
  • A recent photograph
  • An unconditional offer of a place on a course offered by a licensed Tier 4 Sponsor, evidenced by a ‘Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies’ (CAS) form from your course provider (worth 30 points)
  • Proof of adequate English language skills demonstrated bypassing one of the secure English language tests (SELT). You will not need to provide this if you’re from an English-speaking country such as the United States or have completed a qualification equivalent to aUK degree in an English-speaking country.
  • Proof you have financial support throughout your stay in the UK (worth 10 points)
  • If you’re a non-EU/EEA/Swiss student studying a sensitive subject, you may also need an ATAS certificate

Proof of financial support can take the form of bank statements or a letter from your financial sponsor, showing you can cover your tuition fees, accommodation and living costs. You must prove that you have £1,015 per month for living costs if studying in the UK outside of London, and £1,265 a month for living costs if studying in London.

You may also be required to produce documents showing your academic qualifications, and to attend an interview or biometric test, which includes a digital scan of your fingerprints. Depending on your country of origin, you may also be required to have certain medical vaccinations or undertake a tuberculosis test.

If you’re 16 or 17 years old and applying for the Tier 4 (General) student visa, you must have written consent from your parents/guardians that you can live and travel independently.

You must apply online for the Tier 4 (General) Student visa, ensuring you’ve read the full guidance here. You can apply for up to three months before the start of your course.

UK student visa fees

The current fee for the Tier 4 (General) student visa is US$478 with an additional US$478 fee per person for any dependents. You’ll also need to pay a healthcare surcharge of £300 per year in order to access the International Health Service (IHS) during your stay.

Using your UK student visa

When you enter the UK, a UK Border Agency officer will put a stamp on your passport

Before you arrive, you must make sure you are fully immunized, remembering to pack your immunization record in your hand luggage in case you are asked to show the Border Agency officer at your UK port of entry. You should also carry the documents relating to your studies (including your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies or CAS number), your proof of finances and your proof of accommodation.

Working while studying in the UK

All International students can work while studying in the UK. Students of publicly funded higher education institutions on Tier 4 student visas can work for up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during breaks.

Statement of Purpose

“BACHELOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY”

Student: KIEC Student

I am (Your Name), permanent resident of ( Address ). I was born on 3rd February 1999( Passport Number ) to ( Parent Name )with one small brother (Name) and two younger sisters ( Names ). My father worked as a businessman and mother work in the shop my sisters and brother are still studying. All of my family members are engaged in their own area and occupation.

I write this statement of purpose as evidence to show that I am a genuine student and want t to explain my academic background, ambitions, the reason for choosing a particular course, country, and education providers along my future career plans. My chosen institute is Federation University located in Melbourne. I intend to study a bachelor of information technology-business information (3years course). I did my schooling from (School Name)and completed my school leaving certificate (SLC examination in the year 2016) with grade 3.55 GPA. Then I jointed Nobel academy Higher secondary school for my intermediate level in science with a major subject as biology and completed in the year 2018 securing 3.06 Gpa I gave my IELTS examination on 8th Dec 2018 and scored overall of 6.

Afterwards, I visited numerous educational consultancies and researched online to decide which country would be suitable for me. After doing research on the internet, I decided to choose Australia as my education destination. The government website (www.studyinaustralia.gov.au) was a great help finding all that I need to know about studying in Australia. Few things that I found from the website made me decide Australia as my study destination.  It is a country where the standard of education is regarded as one of the best in the world .8 out of 100 top universities are there in Australia. It also provides 22000 courses from 1200 institution. Their university system is ranked 9th in the world. A very rich education and learning system, which I will benefit from. The main concern for my parents is my safety.Australia is the safest country around the world leaving behind countries like USA and UK. Australia has a multicultural society like my country where people are cooperative and understandable.  Education institutions in Australia provide health’s related program by assisting them with modern technology based infrastructure related to community service and health. After research, I found out that there are few factors which really attracted me towards Australia such as quality education with worldwide recognition, cultural diversity, harmonious atmosphere, health and safety, moderate climate; low climate rate, affordable fee structures and low living cost. Australian cities are safe with low crimes rates than those of the USA and UK. Similarly, the main reason for choosing Australia as my study place is that Australian educational institution not only provides a superiority education to their students but also offer a wide variety of course and degrees. In addition, Australia degrees are globally recognized and then graduates from Australian educational institutions are highly sought after due to the impressive international reputation of the Australian education system and so it will easily help me to develop my career job in Nepal. The other advantage that I get by studying in Australia is the education service for overseas students(ESOS Act)set up by the Australian government to protect the right of international students studying  n Australia ,including students right  to receive ,before enrolling ,current and other information from that institution to safeguard the rights and maintain the quality of education for international students.

Tuition protection service (TPS) is a placement and refund service for international students, which is activated in the event that a selected institution is unable to teach a course. In the unlikely event of education provider is unable to deliver a course that students have paid for and doesn’t meet students obligations to either offer students an alternative courses that students can accept or pay a refund of unspent prepaid tuition fees, the TPS will assist students and finding an alternative course or to get a refund if a suitable alternative is not found. I regard that Australia is the right place for me to increase my understanding of the world around me and help me grow as a person who wants to be qualified, professionally trained and experienced Moreover, through cross-cultural exchange and international exposure, it’s my strong belief that I will be able to do better in studies after gaining my higher qualification in Australia.

My understanding-(Information Technology /Networking):

Networking is a form of telecommunication between computers where they exchange data with a data link. One computer -network everyone is familiar with is the internet .computer nodes or hosts are able to excess, create, delete and alter data that is on this networking.Networking utilizes devices such as switches, modems, routers, gateways etc. Network security is any protection of access, misuse and hacking of files and directories in a computer network system. Some of the most common threats to a network include viruses, worms, spyware, and adware and identity theft. One of the most important aspects of network security is the multiple layers of security. Information and communication are two of the most important strategic issues for the success of every enterprise. Computer networks allow the user to access remote program and remote databases either of the same organization or from other enterprises or public sources. Networking can include home or business computer networks and wired or wireless computer networks As well as their classification, computer networks can also differ in their design.

Demand for Information Technology (IT) workers is high should continue to grow as firms invest in newer and fastest technology. We all know tech jobs are hot and one has to be living under a rock not to see it. According to the Bureau of the labour statistics’ occupational outlook Handbook, Network and computer systems Administration have an expected job growth rate of 8%which is as fast as the average rate of growth for all other occupation of my degree iI don’t  have to be stuck in an industry if I don’t like as there are varieties of industries to work at . I can apply to any company that has an IT department.Typical industries that computer managers may work in are:

  • Education services(state,local,and private)
  • Finance and insurance
  • Administration and support services
  • Information
  • Computer system design and related area
  • Entertainment
  • Music

I have passionate since my childhood in information technology because it provides a broad introduction of computer science thus I’ll be able to pursue any studies in specializations. The Bachelor of Information Technology and system focuses on delivering knowledge and skills in computer networking, application development and computer-based software to meet the current IT industry needs. The bachelor of IT ensures that graduates develop a broad and coherent body of knowledge in the underlying principles and concepts of Information  Technology. It provides students with the opportunity to explore and identify critical IT industry demands and to understand how these demands are met.Bachelor of Information Technology course at Federation University is designed to produce graduates like that the Nepalese institution does not offer the latest technology. Most of the course make us study about history than what will be in future technology, which makes the course curriculum is outdated, and not as per the industry requirements. The lack of technologies infrastructure in the institution as well as the lack of exposure to the teachers made me feels that I will not be globally competitive if I study in Nepal. The degree thus obtained will not technical aligned and will make a passed -out graduates less competent to fight for productive jobs in the IT sector in future in many parts of the world including my own country.

After considering the quality of education provided, fee structure, student number, different student support activities and location. I have decided to pursue my course at Federation University. My decision to choose Federation University is influenced by internationally recognized degree offered by the institute. Federation University Australia is a modern, progressive university providing high -quality vocational and higher education across a national and international network of campuses. Federation University is the fourth oldest tertiary education institution in Australia having begun under predecessor institution in 1870, during the Victorian gold rush. It provides full and part-time accredited, nationally recognized qualification and short courses in leading-edge technologies of Automotive, multimedia, Digital Production, Information Technology, Business Management and Hospitality industry. The scholarship is equivalent to 20%of your total program tuition fees, payable per semester based on our enrollment. It will apply for the duration of our program. Fees are subject to change annually, so for international student’s annual tuition fee – ($23,700). Feduni offers international students a much more affordable cost for Information Technology and living expenses. we will learn the skills the appropriate knowledge and values o be effective in modern business environment .we will be able to develop an understanding of the organization setting in which information system is used, and recognise the threats and opportunities of technology in business .similarly we can explore information security, multimedia, knowledge management, databases, emerging technologies in business and more. We will be familiar with the latest development in IT, the different types of tools and their application. By choosing IT at Federation University we can also build our business acumen with the subject including the theory and practice of managing people and build knowledge on understanding and analysing workplace behaviour. We can found a friendly environment with a wealth of practical experience as well as full-time teaching staff have PhDs and substantial publication -such combined knowledge is available in Federation University. IT provides an academically rigorous program in information technology with the emerging area of network security, business intelligence and cloud application development. It gives the latest information technology practice regarding the introduction of network security standards, recently evolving business application and systems. The bachelor program also includes traditional mainstream information technology subjects. These include networking, programming, systems analysis and database system. After successful completion of the first two years of the bachelor degree, we may choose to exit with the Associate Degree of Information Technology qualification. Federation University Australia graduates have been rated the best in Australia for employability technical and adaptive skills (Employer satisfaction survey2017, January 2018). Feduni has also been ranked number one in Victoria for overall employment, median starting salary, student support and teaching scale (QILT, 2018).

Australia has a lot to offer when it comes to education. It is a country where the standard of education imparted is one of the best in the world. The fact that some of the best universities in the world are located in Australia speaks highly about education in Australia. Before I decided to study in Australia, I look ex at studying in Nepal itself. My research on where to study was going apparel which resulted in more comparative research.Amongst the most popular universities in Nepal, I could not find proper networking based courses here. Universities like Tribhuvan university had a course like B.sc. CSIT (computer science and Information Technology) and BIT(bachelor in Information Technology) under the institution of science and Technology. On the other hand, Kathmandu University, they have a program like BE (computer engineering) only. I wanted to do a specialized program in business which I didn’t find here. Besides the unavailability of the course, I also found that Nepalese institution doesn’t offer the latest technology. The lack of technologies infrastructure in the institution as well as the lack of exposure to the teacher made me feels that I will not be globally competitive if I study in Nepal. But if I study abroad, I will be having international exposure will be learning in a completely new type of education system than that of my country and also will be studying the course which is designed completely to make the graduates fit for the technology sector jobs directly.

For any parents, quality education for their children is most important .with this vibe my mother and father are funding my education expenses. My father is a businessman, he earns annually NPR roughly 1200000. my mother works in a shop, she earns annually NRp closely  500000. similarly, we have our own house so we can earn annual income from house rent is around 200000. Additionally, we have a fund which is generated from land sales. I am well informed regarding my tuition expenses at Federation University. My total tuition for the Bachelor of Information Technology is AUD$ 23,700 . considering income of sponsors, I can fully sure that I will not have any financial trouble. I can confidently return back to my home country with a competitive advantage over peers and pursue my IT careers here. It is sure that upon the completion of Bachelor in IT, I will acquire a broad knowledge base and sufficient skills become highly competent in international job market and confident enough to work independently. I would be able to compete with others for job placement with the upper hand of a foreign degree that helps employers to prioritize me against other competitors. With my knowledge and skills, I will be able to achieve more experiences in my working position, which will prove productive in my growing career position. I research in a few job portals likewww.jobsnepal.com, www.merojob.com and there I found lots of jobs available in the position of Network Administration, Network system Administration that perfectly suited my career path.

The visa condition for international student in Australia in academic growth refers to academic progress made over a period of time, as measured from the beginning to the end of the defined period. The official government site for international students gives a typical annuals tuition fee for international graduates students. for the undergraduate’s course, the scores provide an indication of the minimum requirements at most universities: IELTS-overall score of 6.0 to 6.5.(no band less than 5.5 to 6.0)TOFEL(Internet-based test)-overall score 60 to 90. International students can work up to 40 hours per fortnight (two week period) during universities semesters, full-time hours during vacation. In general, students shouldn’t expect to cover tuition fee or living expense by holding down a casual job. International students in Australia on valid student’s visa can work for up to 20 hours per week while school is in session, and there is no limit on the numbers of hours international students can work during recognized school vacations. Health insurance requirements for international students because health insurance covers are generally divided into hospital cover, general treatment cover (also known as ancillary or extras cover) and ambulance cover. In Australia, private health insurance is not risk -rated like most forms of insurance. Private health insurers cannot refuse to insure any person and must charge everyone the same premium for the same level of cover, despite their risk profile and the likelihood of using health services. If we want to change address then I have to go to UspS.com, this is the fastest and easiest way and immediately we can get an email confirming the change.Talking about the immigration to Australia there is independent organization gazetted but the ministers for immigration to perform skills assessment for migration purpose

I really hope that this statement of purpose has supplied you with the most detailed information so that the decision making has been easy for you and I hope it will be a positive decision. I also would like to declare that I am a genuine student fully sponsored by my parents to study in Australia. I also assure you that I will be returning to my home country after the completion of my intended course to establish my career in my home country, where I believe there are many future prospects on this sector along with the advantageous point on my part if I get the opportunity to gain Australian qualification. I sincerely thank you for taking out time for reading this statement of purpose.

Source: KIEC Student (GIR15SAN)

I have always believed that the path to enlightenment is the “path of knowledge”. My strong belief is that greater things can be achieved through perseverance. An open mind and a determined approach are the basis for my aspiration to pursue my studies. In recent years, my native country Nepal has adapted to the trend of globalization and transformed from a low-tech manufacturing base into a technology-based economy. Growing up in such a dynamic economy has given me a strong interest in taking part in the business world of the future. Introducing myself, this is Applicant Name basically from Nagarjun-I0, Bhimdhunga, Kathmandu, Nepal. I have completed S.L.C examination from Shree Navin Jyoti English School, Bhimdhunga with XX% in the year 2XXX A.D. Similarly, I got XX% in my intermediate level studying in Ed-mark academy, Kalanki in the year 2XXX A.D. I now want to Join King’s Own institute for business in accounting course as it not only is my preferred course, but I have been studying account as an elective subject in the senior grades during school i.e. 9 and 10. Also, I chose Accounts in both 11th and 12th grade. Due to this, I think I will have benefits in my further study. After +2, I wanted to work utilizing the spare time so, I started working as an accountant in Bhimdhunga Agriculture cooperative Ltd thinking it will somehow help me  in my study further but as I continued working, I began enjoying my work, not because of anything else but I finally got a chance to use my knowledge of accounts practically. For Bachelor study, there are some good universities like Kathmandu University, Pokhara University etc. These universities offer the course that I want to study but it is very difficult to get admission to those universities due to the limited number of seats. And another reason for not choosing my home country is that the education system which is still lingering in the old decade’s practices as the teaching approach is more theoretical than a practical one. As it is a complex subject and needs as many resources as possible, the resources are limited here and I myself am more interested in practical learning as it sets in my mind quickly rather than theory. Thus, I couldn’t think of any colleges so far as I didn’t get the one with my need of having more practical study, then the idea of looking for colleges abroad came in my mind and I decided to join IELTS and I gave exam in 29th September and waiting for the result.

For other options, I could have chosen other countries like the USA, UK, and Canada and so on but USA requires more tests like SAT, it would take more time for the preparation and cost of studies in the USA is higher than in Australia. Also, a bachelor’s degree in the USA is for 4 Years. Secondly, UK currency is higher than Australia currency which makes the UK more expensive. I didn’t choose Canada because of its cold climatic condition. Doing research about the education system in Australia, I got ideas of ESOS act, according to which international students could get major information relating to their enrolment, fees in colleges, about different agents and institutions, orientation access, responsibilities of the institutions they have chosen, responsibilities of students, and so on. I also did some research on tuition protection service (TPS) overviewed all the schedules and got to know about several obligations mentioned. Moreover, research on Post work service (PSW) acknowledged me the obligations of institutions to ensure that they actually have access to employment post-study, preferably in their area of study. These factors made me choose Australia as my path for further education. Not only this, Australia is recognized as a country that offers world-class education. The quality of education is important, but another significant aspect of choosing the location or university is student life. Australia, in fact, houses six of the forty best student cities in the world. A survey in 2015 even revealed that 81% of international student respondents are satisfied or very satisfied with living in Australia. This is ‘not surprising, as Australia is considered to be the ninth happiest country in the world and is often referred to as the lucky country as well. Australia offers an educational experience that makes a real difference. It provides a unique kind of education and a learning style that encourages one to be innovative, creative and think independently. Australia has a reputation for adopting new technologies at a faster rate than in most other countries and its approach to technical education is now recognized as among the best and most innovative country in the world. Actually, my cousin sister is also now studying in Federation University in Australia and when she tells me about the education system in there, I become more and more fascinating.  Moreover, Universities in Australia offers a wide range of course as per the need and requirements of the students providing quality education composed of both theoretical as well as practical aspects. Likewise, it is also ranked as one of the happiest and wealthiest countries in the world with the world’s l2th largest economy. In 2015, Australia had the world’s ninth-highest per capita income. It ranks highly in many international comparisons of national performance, such as quality of education, life, health, economic freedom and the protection of civil liberties. Plus, it also happens to be one of my favourite countries because of its peaceful environment with stable government policy, reputed international education, high living standards, multicultural environment, favourable weather, affordable tuitions fee and more. Besides these, graduates from Australia are very successful in finding jobs and hold prominent positions worldwide as per various reports. Australia has become a world-class destination due to its safe and secure environment.

For my keen interest in exploring a new place, Sydney will be the best place to live in during my stay for the course of Bachelors in accounting. Bachelor of Commerce, major in Accounting, provides worldwide career portability due to the rigour and contemporary nature of the course which is valued internationally. This is particularly important as uniform accounting standards are now being adopted globally. The KOI Bachelor of Commerce major in Accounting is accredited by industry peak bodies such as CPA Australia (CPAA) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) which provides graduates with an opportunity to apply their skills around the world. The Bachelor of Commerce, major in Accounting, provides a detailed study of the accounting discipline which includes various theories and models of accounting, the roles and traditions of accounting, internal and external financial reporting, management and financial accounting, auditing, taxation, regulatory compliance, international accounting standards and an awareness of ethical issues. This course will help me to demonstrate a broad and coherent knowledge of the accountancy discipline in the global context, It Possess an up-to-date body of specialist accounting knowledge both theoretical and technical , to be able to apply International Accounting Standards, Australian Accounting Standards, Australian Accounting Standards and Conceptual Framework and have the ability to remain up-to-date with changes in regulations and reporting requirements,  to analyse and evaluate the financial position and performance of an organization through the examination of financial and non-financial data and to evaluate the financial position of an organization through the examination of financial accounts or financial statements and non-financial data. After completion of my Bachelor degree in accounting from KOI, I believe that I can be competent in sound financial decision making. I believe after the Bachelor of Commerce (accounting) achievement; I would be able to grab the opportunity within and outside the organization. This degree can put me in a better position, better pay and recognition. I have seen many platforms in the area of accounting, stockbroker, financial advisor, tax consultant, compliance manager, forensic accounting and auditor in my century and help to develop more professional. In Nepal there are many organizations like commercial banks (Nabil Bank Ltd, Nepal SBI Bank, Standard Chartered Bank Ltd,), Multinational companies and Manufacturing Companies (Chaudhary Groups, Himalayan Snax), Airlines Companies (Buddha Airlines, Nepal Airlines Corporation), government departments, INGO’s and donor agencies and other corporate houses which are looking for skilled and qualified manpower for accounting. It is my goal to work in such reputed organizations in a higher position with better pay ranging from NRS 45,000 to NRS 60,000 per month according to the nature of organizations and recognition. I feel that a bachelor degree from KOI will definitely make me more confident and it is the right place for me to achieve my career goal.

My first reason to choose KOI is it is one of the fastest-growing institutions in Australia. It offers industrially focused and recognized degrees in the field of business and management. The expert professors, high-tech labs, well-equipped library, modern buildings and small classroom are the major attractions of this institution. KOI also has good connections with national and multinational companies. This supports for gaining the latest industrial skills. KOI is approved by the Australian Universities Quality Agency for student-focused practice in education. This institution ranks well in teaching and support facilities for students and is well-rated for overall education experience. KOI is located centrally which can be easily accessed by public transport. I also found that the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) course much economical in KOI. KOI assigns mentors who help the students in their academic difficulties which may turn out to be a good guidance for the excellent performance with free additional English tuition course. Besides its infrastructure, multicultural environment, library facilities and the course of KOI, which is accredited by relevant professional bodies? KOI is a CPA certified institution and provided Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree is accredited by CPA Australia, CAANZ – Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and IPA- Institute of Public Accountants so graduates can apply their skills throughout the world. Moreover, it offers Excellence Support, also called a Mentorship program, a special program where the seniors assist the juniors in academic performance and it is free of cost service. Having different choices in my mind, I choose King’s Own Institute in association with to continue my further studies. From my research, I come to know this institute is a pioneer of business education ranked 10th in the world for its enviable quality of University. This tertiary level, industry-based institution echoes Sydney’s upbeat and engaged ethos, it is a Vibrant, progressive and adorable Institute all around Australia. This Institute offers over 400 programs from short courses to degrees and beyond. When I visited the website of this institute, I found that their graduate has rated it with 5 stars for both student support and overall satisfaction. Another reason for choosing this university is because of its size of classrooms and its fee structure. The classrooms here are of small size which gives equal learning and interacting opportunities to each and every student. But in the context of larger universities like UTS, VU each class consists of 80 to 100 students which make learning and teaching environment chaotic. The fee structure is affordable whichis$13000 in a year. This fee is lower than other universities like VU, Charles Darwin University, and Charles Strut University and so on. The same I have found the course is very affordable with AUD $ 18,032 annual tuition fee comparing to the annual fees of Southern Cross University which have AUD$ 20,560 and Charles Strut University has AUD$ 24OOO for the same course. In an age demanding invention and digital development, KOI graduates can immediately demonstrate competence and fluency with technology for early success.

My family is well settled in Nepal. Their happiness equals to my happiness. They have compromised their dreams for my achievements. My parents strongly believe in parenthood, that they want me to achieve the height of success and reach the summit. What I am today is due to the support and love of my family members. My father has good earning and my mother always wants to see me in apex. My parents are happy to sponsor for my study and my living expenses. For my study and living expenses, my father and mother will sponsor me. I have full support of my parents and they are financially sound to cover all the expenses including living cost in Australia. They are fully aware of the cost of my study for 3 years i.e. tuition fees and living expenses.  For accommodation, I have few friends living in Sydney. I will make the necessary arrangements after receiving the offer.

I am aware about the student visa conditions. Some of them are:

  •  I need to maintain minimum of 80% of attendance
  • I am allowed to work 40 hours per fortnight on a part-time basis.
  • I need to clear 50% of subjects in each term and I cannot change the university for 6 months upon enrolment.
  • I need to maintain the health insurance until I remain in Australia.
  • I must notify to Institute within 7 days if I change the address of contact details.

Finally, I would like to express my gratitude for taking out time to analyse my documents and for considering me a prospective candidate. I am eager to be a student of King’s Own Institute (KOI), Sydney campus and I am fully confident that completing this Master’s Program at KOI will prove as the most important academic goal of my life.

Thank you!

Sincerely yours

I choose Bachelor of Business (Accounting) because it is a very broad subject that goes beyond recording and reporting of economic data. The organization can make better decisions on the basis of internal and external economic information provided by accounting graduates. So, they play an important role in the decision making of an organization/business firm also. The progress of an organization depends upon the ability of the business accountants. Thus, they are in demand in all parts of the world. For me, business and accounting are interesting subjects. Business and accounting professionals help to make a better decision because they have a proper understanding of logic, set of methods and orders. I believe this course would offer me the essential knowledge to become a successful professional in business and accounting related fields. The graduates pursuing this major have broad opportunities since they can work as public accountants, government accountants, management accountants, and private accountants, internal or external auditors and so on. The scope of the accounting industry leads to many areas of specialization, such as general, budget, cost, property, systems, forensic and tax accounting. Private accountants are also in demand for nonprofit organizations that need specialized expertise in tax regulations and policies unique to them. Undoubtedly there are many universities in Australia, among them I am sure this is the most promising one for me. I did quite a research on different universities such as Australian Catholic University, University of Sunshine Coast, and Central Queensland University etc. But among those universities AIHEfulfills my requirement. Australian Institute of higher education providers quality of education with different courses and suitable fee structure which is an important aspect to be considered by international students like me. The same I have found the course is very affordable with AUD $ 16000 annual tuition fee comparing to the annual fees of Southern Cross University which have AUD$ 20,560 and Charles Strut University has AUD$ 24OOO for the same course and also I am eligibility for 12.5% scholarship. In an age demanding invention and digital development, AIHE graduates can immediately demonstrate competence and fluency with technology for early success.

Business and accounting are both theoretical and practical discipline that we do not only gain a great range of knowledge, but also learn the skills needed to apply this knowledge to real-life settings assisting with employability. Business touches on nearly every aspect of modern society and so a business degree is useful for both professional and personal life. I will have various prospective career opportunities in the potential fields of employment including financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, banking management accounting, and business supervising and so on. Currently, my motherland Nepal is also taking a step forwarding business sectors. I feel that the growth of business organizations would be quite high in developing countries like Nepal than any other developed countries which consequently need skilled manpower in a related field. So, I see my secure career opportunities in different sectors in Nepal. Many Companies like Chaudhary group, Surya Nepal, Udayapur Cement Factory are at their best in excellence and economy.I wish to take back all the skills and techniques I learned during my stay at Australia and incorporate those learning for the benefit of my country to introduce a new charm to the financial and business sector in my home nation.

My foremost aim would be to work towards my master degree and concentrate on my majors. Then after I would like to see myself working towards the benefit and development of the accounting industry. I have a genuine intention to go to Australia. I will return to my home country after the completion of my course as my birthplace has always been a place of comfort for me. With the degree, I would be able to get employed in many reputed big organizations of my country like Chaudhary Group, Jyoti Group, Laxmi Group, Golchha Organization, Ncell and also government and semi-government organizations. Since I will have the experience of accounting from Australia it would be a great opportunity to practice the relevant knowledge in my country. An initial salary of NRP 50,000- 60,000 could be earned from these companies holding a senior-level post of Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant, Financial Analyst and Business Analyst and it will be increased as per my performance and experience. Also, currently Nepal is in the pace of development & there is a high potential of investments in macro business sectors like hydropower, tourism, manufacturing by the major companies from China, Japan, other developed countries and the Government. Such investments are a great opportunity to the graduates and missing such opportunities should not be a choice.  Such companies want a qualified professional with the knowledge of the international market and culture to run their business successfully. With the lack of opportunities in my home country, I would not be staying in Australia for which I will definitely come back to Nepal after my study. My parents have always motivated me to the right path and fulfilled my each and every desire through many sacrifices. So I have a huge responsibility to look after them with love, care and respect. I want to contribute my nation and the entire society through the combination of studies and its socio-cultural know-how in this existing society.

I can search for a job through different ways like networking, referrals, job boards and career websites, company websites, temping or internships, headhunters and recruitment agencies etc. Australian degrees are more valued and internationally recognized than Nepalese degrees. Australian degrees are highly based on practical knowledge where Nepalese degrees are based on theoretical knowledge.  My short term goal is to get the finest job in a multinational company after returning from Australia completing degree get starting salary around NPR 50,000 monthly. Then after some years of work experience and good savings, I would like to commence my own business. Knowledge never goes waste. Quality educations add professionalism in one’s life and help you become a successful person. Studying abroad is always worth. I can get a return from my abroad study in different forms, only the money cannot be measured as a factor of return on investment. Studying abroad boosts our confidence and independence, improve communication and language skills, become an explorer, become a full-time learner, and enhances employment opportunities. In Nepal, there is a great opportunity for postgraduate student. I can initially join a company as an accountant, employment in diversified sectors like market research, budget planning, corporations and consultancies. The most important benefits of internships are gain valuable work experience, explore a career path, develop and refine skills, receive financial compensation, network with professionals in the field, gain confidence, transition into a job etc. This can be used as a backbone and support in my career path.

My family is well settled in Nepal. Their happiness equals to my happiness. They have compromised their dreams for my achievements. My parents strongly believe in parenthood, they want me to achieve success. What I am today is due to the support and love of my family members. My father has good earning and my mother always wants to see me in apex. My parents are happy to sponsor for my study and my living expenses. For my study and living expenses, my family (father and mother) will be my sponsor. I have the full support of my parents and they are financially sound to cover all the expenses including living cost in Australia. They are fully aware of the cost of my study for 3 years i.e. tuition fees and living expenses.

I understand the terms and conditions and my limits to this visa subclass 500 for all international students who wish to study in Australia at a registered education institution. I would be very thankful if I get the lifetime opportunity to educate myself in Australian way with Australian culture and lifestyle, which I believe will be both challenging and rewarding and when I come back to Nepal after completing bachelor degree I can make myself and my family proud.
